MHFM: Those Who Oppose Our Work Will Lose Their Souls

We find the following statements on the MhFM’s webpage entitled:

Amazing: The ‘Final Judgment’ ending our ‘Benedictine Fraud’ lawsuit was issued on the Feast of St. Benedict - March 21, 2014!

  • The claim that we are ‘not Benedictine’ or are ‘fake monks’ or are ‘not religious’ is the number one criticism and attack made by our critics and enemies.

  • Those who oppose our work do the work of the Devil and will lose their souls!

Those pretentious remarks were made by the Dimond Brothers … the two self-professed, self-identified Benedictines who oversee and control the New York State Domestic Not-For-Profit Corporation (file # 1751088 - MhFM) … following a New York State District Court's (March 21, 2014) decision, terminating, in their favor, a lawsuit filed against them by Eric Hoyle.

Alas, it is painfully true that young Eric was unsuccessful in his attempt to use the U.S. judicial system to try and recuperate as much as possible of the 1.6 million USD that he’d foolishly, but willfully, “handed over” to the Dimond Brothers during his affiliation with the MhFM’s purported Benedictine community in Fillmore, New York.

It is a fact that before Eric took up residency at the MhFM, as a postulant, on September 27, 2005, he had already donated $65,000.00+ USD to the Dimond Brothers. He did so with the intent of financially supporting and furthering the work of their cyber ministry that he was convinced, at the time, was the undisputed work of the Lord established to counter the heresy and schism being promulgated by the Conciliar Vatican II Church.

No one can deny that Eric’s initial donations were just that … “donations”. Honesty requires that it be admitted and accepted by everyone that Eric, being an adult, and being of sound mind, willfully chose to freely give away $65,000.00+ USD of his fortune. One cannot justifiably fault the Dimond Brothers, being the religious carpetbaggers they are, for warmly welcoming and accepting Eric's generous / magnanimous donation.

Yet, with that said, as of the day that Eric took up official residence as a postulant, a novitiate, within the purported Benedictine monastery, Canon 568 of the 1917 Code of Canon Law went into immediate effect; and any true Order of Saint Benedict would have been honor bound and obliged to enforce and apply it:

In the course of the novitiate, if a novice renounces his benefices or goods in any manner or encumbers [them], the renunciation or obligation is not only illicit, but by the law it is invalid.

And in Canon we find:

1. One professed by simple vows cannot validly before, but within sixty days before solemn profession must, renounce all goods that he actually has, in favor of whomever he wants, subject to the condition of profession [actually] following, with due regard for any particular indults granted by the Holy See."

It is, thus, indisputably evident in reading Canons 568 and 581 that, under the laws of the Church, by the MhFM’s acceptance of the novitiate, Eric Hoyle, into their “community”, that he no longer retained the right to renounce (donate and/or give away) his goods; which included his money.

Surely, Brother Michael understood that he was duty bound and obliged, as the Superior, of a Catholic religious community, to uphold and respect the decrees set down in the 1917 Code of Canon Law; laws had been prepared by Eugenio Pacelli (later Pope Pius XII) under the direct order / supervision of then Pope Pius X, and afterwards officially promulgated by Pope Benedict XV on September 15, 1917.

The MhFM willfully chose to ignore their moral obligation to uphold and honor Canons 568 and 581. If they would have simply obeyed Canon Law ... Eric's lawsuit would never have been filed. The Dimond Brothers, or I would suspect at least their lawyers, knew that the decrees and obligations found in the 1917 Code of Cannon Law were not admissible as evidence in the New York District Court where the lawsuit was being tried. And as a result, the Dimond Brothers won the lawsuit filed against them by Eric Hoyle.

These two "brothers" were so elated and overcome with the sheer joy of deceiving the Court and securing their secular “victory” that they hurried home and got to work on creating the web page mentioned above; placing the following on it:

“While the exact month and day of St. Benedict’s birth is not known, March 21 is the day historical records list as the day of his death. March 21 is the day of the year on which St. Benedict is honored in the traditional Catholic calendar. This event is a clear, stunning confirmation from Heaven (particularly for other people to see) that we are indeed Benedictines and true members of the Order of St. Benedict. In fact, we are the true Order of St. Benedict in our day. Anyone who knows anything about such lawsuits knows that neither plaintiffs nor defendants control when judges make their rulings or legal decisions are issued. Yet, this ‘final judgment’ was issued on March 21. It’s a smashing victory, an obvious sign, in the face of all our detractors and opponents.”

Wow … what utter nonsense!

A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who tells lies will perish." - Proverbs 19:9

What the Dimond Brothers failed to mention to their readers, concerning the trial, was the “truth”. The “final judgement” issued by the New York State District Court did not proclaim that the Dimond Brothers were true Benedictine monks; nor that their New York State Domestic Not-For-Profit Corporation (i.e. MhFM: ) was the true Order of St. Benedict in our day.

The truth is that the Judge was duty bound to pronounce that, under the statutes of Civil Law, the Dimond Brothers’ MhFM was indeed recognized, by the Court, as being a legitimate “business of religion”. And as such, the Dimond Brothers possessed the right, protected by civil law and the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States (Freedom of Religion), to claim themselves to be any type of religious entity they fancied themselves to be. Simply put, the “First Amendment” denies a Judge, a civil court, or anyone for that matter, the legal right to assess the legitimacy / validity of religious claims and/or issues.

And so, Eric Hoyle lost his lawsuit against the MhFM … but it was definitely not because it was God’s Divine Will and/or the wish of Saint Benedict. To beleive such would be insipid. But, I guess, if one has the audacity to try and speculate about what God’s Divine Will might have been; it would make more sense to believe that it was done to teach wealthy Catholics a valuable lesson about the dangers of entering into unholy union with schismatic sects.

Yet, with all this said, Eric Holye, today, is far from being bitter over the loss of the lawsuit:

"God has been very good to me. His plan is to reward people in Heaven for their trials on this earth. I am blessed to have lost a lot of money as it was the Holy Will of God and it helped to teach me some detachment from worldly things. Frankly it was easier to pray well and to live for God alone when I was dealing with my loss and working for my daily bread than it is now when I have gotten reestablished and I have more than I need."

So let me state in response to the Dimond Brothers statement: “The claim that we are ‘not Benedictine’ or are ‘fake monks’ or are ‘not religious’ is the number one criticism and attack made by our critics and enemies.”

I will remain a staunch “critic” of the Dimond Brothers’ dishonest claim that they are Benedictines. But, I am not their enemy … the truth is. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but no one is entitled to their own facts.

The Dimond Brothers are NOT true Benedictine but rather Sarabaite monks; being those reprehensible monks condemned by St Benedict himself (see the rule of St Benedict). They are "pretenders"; posing as Benedictines in a vainglorious attempt to give themselves the outward allure of “prestige” and “prominence”.

And lastly, to respond to the Dimond Brothers’ idle threat: “Those who oppose our work do the work of the Devil and will lose their souls!”

It is no secret … I do openly deny the veracity of their work as being that of Benedictine monks and for fallaciously claiming that the MhFM was established by “divine vocation”. Yes, I do oppose them on that point, but I do not fear for the safety of my soul and neither should you.

The Dimond Brothers should read Jeremiah 23:

"[1] Woe to the pastors, that destroy and tear the sheep of my pasture, saith the Lord."

"[21] I did not send prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied."

"[31] Behold I am against the prophets, saith the Lord: who use their tongues, and say: The Lord saith it."

"[32] Behold I am against the prophets that have lying dreams, saith the Lord: and tell them, and cause my people to err by their lying, and by their wonders: when I sent them not, nor commanded them, who have not profited this people at all, saith the Lord."

"If anyone says that ... those who have been neither rightly ordained nor sent by ecclesiastical and canonical authority, but come from a different source, are lawful ministers of the word … let him be anathema." - Denzinger: Sources of Catholic Dogma: 967 Canon 7
